Kickin’ It Swim School standard terms and conditions need to be reviewed, agreed to and signed upon enrolment and prior to commencement of lessons when you are given access to registration on our customer portal (Kickin’ It Lounge), which is a condition of enrolment
Our lessons run weekly throughout the year, including school holidays, except for a scheduled closure period over Christmas/New Year, public holidays or for any necessary maintenance. These will be added as “black-out” periods on our schedule and closure dates will be advised well in advance.
Enrolment enquiries can be made in person, over the phone, via email or our website.
Trial classes are offered but only in a grade/age-appropriate class on a day and time that works ongoing. We offer one reduced fee trial class per student. Any additional trial classes will be billed at the regular class rate. There is no obligation to continue with an enrolment after the trial class.
Enrolments are billed in advance monthly and will be automatically rolled over into the next month if we are not advised that you will not be continuing (see Cancellations/Holds below).
We understand that schedules can change, and we always aim to be as flexible as possible for our families. To help us continue providing high-quality swimming lessons for everyone, we ask that families provide at least 30 days’ notice if they need to cancel ongoing swimming lessons.
To withdraw from our program, we require 30 days’ written notice sent to accounts@kickinitswim.com.au, or through our online system.
Your 30-day notice period begins the day your request is received. As we bill monthly in advance, you will be responsible for fees during this period. If your notice extends into a new month, a final pro-rata charge will apply for those remaining days. Your child is welcome and encouraged to attend all lessons until the notice period ends.
We require this notice to manage the significant fixed costs involved in providing a safe and comfortable swimming environment. Because our pool heating, water treatment, and specialized filtration systems must run 24/7 regardless of attendance, the 30-day window allows us to recover these essential operational costs while we transition a new student from our waiting list into your child’s spot. This policy also ensures we can maintain stable, guaranteed hours for our professional coaching staff.
If you are going to be absent for a period of four (4) weeks and do not wish to cancel, you can pay a holding fee which will enable us to hold your existing enrolment for that period. This fee is payable upon notification of absence. Two (2) weeks’ written notification needs to be given of any intention to hold an enrolment. Enrolments will not be able to be held for absences longer than four (4) weeks.
NOTE: Customer portal access and provision of bank account/credit card details for monthly direct debit is a condition of enrolment. Fees and charges may be changed from time to time without notice.
Fees are charged monthly in advance via direct debit and are based on the number of scheduled lessons during that month, not the number of lessons attended. You will not be charged for any closure periods (i.e., public holidays or breaks).
Each monthly payment will include any outstanding balance from the previous month/s as well as any rejected payment fees. A fee of $7.50 will be charged to your account for any rejected payments from bank accounts (does not apply to rejected credit card payments).
A monthly late fee of $5.00 will be added to accounts that remain overdue past the 25th of each month.
For new enrolments, the first month’s fee will be payable at the time of enrolment, including a once off registration fee, and will be pro-rated over the remaining lessons in that month, excluding any trial. If you are enrolling after the monthly billing date (the first Thursday of the month), the next month’s fees will also be added and payable at the time of enrolment.
Payment options are outlined in the email sent with your initial and ongoing statements. Customer portal and app access will be provided at the time of enrolment to facilitate direct debit payments for ongoing enrolment.
If you are intending to use a Government issued voucher, please forward the voucher to us via email to be applied to your account.

Absence notification and make-up bookings will only be managed via our customer portal. Make-up bookings are your responsibility, based on availability and are not guaranteed.
We allow two (2) make-up lessons per month with a ninety (90) day expiry, which means they will roll into the following month but only for enrolments which remain current. Cancelled enrolments will automatically forfeit any remaining make-up lessons.
Make-ups are applied and made available once you have missed the relevant class. A notice period of up to two (2) hours prior to commencement of class will apply to all absence reasons. Any absence notifications outside of the two (2) hour notice period will not be eligible for a make-up.
An open-ended make-up (no expiry applicable) will be given for any classes that are cancelled by us. A standard make-up will be given if notice of absence has already been recorded for the cancelled class.
If notice of cancellation of a make-up lesson is received at least two (2) hours prior to commencement of class, the make-up will be returned to your account. If a make-up lesson is missed or inadequate notice received, then this lesson is forfeited.
Payments for missed lessons are non-refundable.
While on our premises, families may occasionally capture photos or videos for personal use, which may incidentally include other individuals. We respect the rights and privacy of all guests to our school and encourage anyone with concerns about being inadvertently filmed or photographed to seek assistance from our administrative team.
We reserve the right to conduct new teacher training sessions during regular operations without prior notice. These activities are essential to maintaining the high standards of our services and may involve trainees observing or participating under supervision. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we support the ongoing development of our professional team.
For the welfare of everyone attending our school (students, parents, carers and staff), we have a strict zero tolerance policy for rude, disrespectful or unsafe behaviour.
If a child displays this behaviour in a class and it is disruptive to other participants there is a three strike system in place where the child will be sat out for a “time-out” period on the first and second occurrence before being allowed to rejoin the class. On the third occurrence, the parent or carer will be asked to remove the child from the lesson.
Any adult who displays this type of behaviour will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
No refunds will be given for a lesson where a child or adult has been removed for not adhering to this policy.
After the easing of restrictions on Wednesday, 15 December 2021, we made the decision that, whilst still following the advice of NSW Health and current Public Health Orders, we will be operating under the following guidelines:
• We are aware that there is an extremely small percentage of our families where parents have not been vaccinated. As we work with children all day, who cannot currently be vaccinated, we do not see any further risk by allowing unvaccinated adults in small numbers to attend.
• If you or any member of your family are unwell or showing even minor symptoms, please DO NOT attend lessons, we have a generous make-up lesson policy and will be happy to sort things out. Please stay home, rest up and consider getting testing.
• If you are advised that you, a family member, or close contact has tested positive for COVID-19, you are considered at risk and have attended the centre in the two weeks before, please advise us immediately so that we are able to take appropriate action.
• Depending upon the weather, we will leave the front doors open between classes to help with coming and going.
• Face masks are encouraged, however, not required.
• Even though capacity limits have been lifted, as an indoor facility, we are still trying to limit excess numbers in the school at a time. Please keep the numbers in your group to a minimum, i.e.:
